A little bit about me

I first picked up a camera when I was at School and I was deciding to choose four additional subjects to complete alongside my GCSE’s. Never having picked up a camera at this point I knew Photography was a subject I wanted to explore. The decision to delve into photography alongside my GCSE's opened up a whole new world of creativity and expression for me. Once I understood the basics of how the camera worked the ability to capture ‘moments in time’ with my camera was truly a transformative experience.

It's amazing to think that a simple decision to try something new back then has led me on a journey of exploration and growth in Landscape Photography and has become my true passion and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

I later then completed an A Level in Photography and once finishing Sixth Form I knew I had only just gotten started with Photography and wanted to be out exploring as much as I could with my camera!

I have been very lucky to have visited some incredible places and with my all time favourite of being Iceland. Wanting to showcase the beauty of these places through my camera yet there's a unique charm and familiarity that draws me back to the local gems scattered throughout the North East of England. The pursuit of capturing that one perfect moment I've been envisioning becomes even more captivating in these familiar surroundings. The journey to capture these moments is such a rewarding adventure in itself and reminds me that beauty can be found right on my doorstep.

One thing that Landscape photography has taught me over the years is to make the most of shooting each Season. From eagerly anticipating the first snowfall of winter to the vibrant greens of spring, each season presents a new opportunity to explore the ever-changing landscapes. Summer brings the heather-covered moorlands, and scouting locations for Autumn colours. By immersing myself in the essence of each season over the past few years I have learned to appreciate how each of these seasons changes the Landscape throughout the year.

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my work!
